The City of Sydney's Smart Green Apartments program aims to support apartment buildings to become more sustainable, cost effective and efficient. Currently the program is working with 30 buildings to improve base building performance, minimise environmental impacts and connect residents around greening initiatives.

Within the City of Sydney area, 75% of residents live in apartment buildings. These vertical villages consume close to 40% of the City’s water, 10% of its energy and create around 50% of residential waste.

This event has been made possible by the Office of Environment and Heritage and the Energy Efficient Lighting Technology Report.
