Swimming pool heating
At SP 54560 Glebe Gardens, consisting 103 residences with 25m swimming pool, understandably a massive cost is the heating of this pool, which we do all year round to a current temperature of 26 degrees C. As you can imagine there is quite a history there!
We use a 13 year-old gas heater for the pool, which is on its last legs. The EC is not sure what our next actions are but we agree it would be useful to have information available such as:
• Other strata developments in the Sydney area with 25 m (or equivalent) swimming pools • Actual temperature to which these pools are heated • Accepted/standard temperature to which swimming pools are heated in residential developments • Options for swimming pool heating eg gas, heat banks, solar (boosted?) etc • Comparisons of effectiveness, efficiency & life cycle costs of the above options • Government subsidies for swimming pool heating
Any information that throws light on any of the above would be very welcome.
